Soldering is eliminated 100% with this ingenious harness even when other pickups are connected.  Provides the optimum electrical environment which allows the pickups to develop their full sonic and feel potential.

The K7-Plus was introduced 2008, it comes with  7+ sound switching as standard.  The K7 pot is the lower control that, in conjunction with the 5 pos switch, gives you 7+ (parallel) combinations of the 3 pickups, the extra sounds being similar but different to the normal position 2/4 sounds by mixing bridge and neck pickups.  We think it's better than David Gilmour's mod which does it with a switch, our K7 control gradually blends for varying shades of the same sound. A mini-slide switch pre-selects which pickup (neck or bridge) is mixed to the output by the K7 control.  This is the additional feature that distinguishes the K7 Plus from the original K7.  Scroll down to see a picture of the K7 with it's 2 mini slide switches (on the upper edge).

The switching in the K7 Harness is eminently suited to clean playing so by inference is best suited to the Traditional Mk-IV and Gen-2 sets but will work equally well for all pickups that require a 250k volume pot.  It works well for Distortion and overdrive too but the K9 Harness with the fat and gutsy series connections provides more overdrive options.

There are 2 capacitors that can be selected by a second mini slide switch mounted on the harness.  Slide one direction to get Kinman's High Definition Tone control, or slide the opposite direction to get a regular tone control if you want normal extreme treble cut.

The volume pot has the famous Kinman treble bypass filter so you won't lose highs when you turn the volume down.  Please read our Blog Article titled "Any old cable won't do"  The Tone pot and the K7 mix pot are 500k No-Load type (without center detent) and the Volume pot measures 500k+.  Another unique feature is the pots are user replaceable without soldering (in the rare event one needs to be replaced).

When ordering any Kinman Stratocaster harness with or for a Converge-3 splitting humbucker we replace one of the existing controls with the Converge-3 splitting control, and the rotary part can be configured as a Volume control, a Tone control or a K7 Mix control while the Push switch splits the coils.  And you get to choose which control is replaced so please state your preference in the Order Notes.

Shipped with pots set to normal torque but convert easily to Easy Turn pots (right hand only) for easy finger rolling (violinning), the Install Guide shows how.  The Tone pot is the No-load type (without detent).  The Volume pot for Strat pickups actually measures 250K.
