An old favorite mid 60's Tele Custom with white binding.

Kinman workers are trained to perform excellent craftsmanship, note how well done the black cotton twine wrapping is.

AVn-60b (Gen-2 bridge pickup)

Focused, twangy, very clear classic Tele* tone that's so dynamic it's touch sensitivity rates an 11/10.  This is one fabulous pickup that twangs better than any other Tele pickup, in fact it's got such great twang we discontinued our Twang-Blaster.  The airy, dynamic twang is there and the highs are prominent with a nice bitey edge when played as single notes.  Piano mid-tones galore on the wound strings.

Zero-Hum and wax potted for Zero microphonic screech.  However, be aware that magnetic steel bridges compromise the hum cancelling ability of our Tele bridge pickups.  The solution is a non-magnetic Stainless Steel bridge made by Glendale Guitars in Texas.  They make 4 different kinds of Tele bridge with various Cut-Aways designed for comfort.  Highly recommended.  https://glendaleguitars.com/stainless-steel/

Finely engineered and hand crafted by Kinman artisans to look like the original 60's pickup with it's precision wound black cotton twine over-coil-wrap This beauty has six of Kinman's propriety low strength Alnico rod magnets, like all our Fender type pickups, so string pull is minimized, and there is less rattle and buzz from the strings crashing into the frets so sustain is longer and the sound is free of clutter and crash.

Patented advanced design for better sound and Zero-Hum.

Laser engraved stuff so you won't forget

The AVn-60b requires no modification to the pickup cavity in your guitar.  Like old fashioned Tele bridge pickups the 3 mounting screws provide grounding to the bridge & strings.  But unlike the Gen-1 model this one is phase reversible.

Pot & Capacitor values

  • Great Tele sound with 250k volume pot.  A 500k volume pot makes the twang sharper. Both are good.
    • Volume pot value in our Gen-2 TK3 and TK4 Goodbye-Soldering Harness are guaranteed to measure no less that 250k and the incorporated slide switch changes the pot value from 250k to 500k.
    • If you don't include a Harness, for additional $25 we will include a 500k pot and parts and instructions for our Auto-Change device with your order for when the other pickups requires 250k.
  • Tone pot is usually the same value as the volume but for a little more top end brightness can be a 500k No-Load.
  • Normal tone cap value of 0.022uF in 63 ~ 100 volt Polyester.  Smaller value reduces the severity of Treble cut, larger values increase it.

Magnet spread

  • Standard vintage 55mm only (slanted mount resolves to 52.5mm)

Magnet Staggers

  • Normal improved Stagger to suit 7 ~ 14 inch uniform radius fretboards.
  • Flat Stagger for specific compound radius fretboards (Warmoth 10 ~ 16 inch and Post 2010 Fender Deluxe 9 ~ 14").
  • Option to change the magnet stagger of sets and singles in our 'After-Order Supplementary Questions' email we send you.

Mounting hardware included

  • 3 Pan head mounting screws 6-32 UNC x 18mm
  • 3 Silicon Rubber tube springs.

Covers

  • Tele bridge pickups don't have covers, the top coil is bound with Black cotton twine and wax potted for protection.
  • With and without Kinman logo.

We highly recommend consulting the Install Guide in Tech Info even if you think you know it all.  Kinmans' require specialized knowledge and sometimes there is updated info.  There is also a handy wiring diagram available.

We also highly recommend consulting the Adjust & Set-up page in Tech Info so you get the best out of your Kinman pickups.

Sorry, No YouTube demo for this pickup.
